Baby wearing is definitely an activity for me! An activity and, may I say, a workout in itself. Especially when my 3 month old baby weighs 15lbs. and my 18 month old weighs 25 lbs. Carrying them while walking around is definitely a workout. I always wear my babies. I may not be capable of wearing them both at the same time, but if i could I would! Continue reading

6 months with a new whip!
It’s time! While Kheira is still learning to crawl – Nana (what my mum decided for her to be called by Kheira) bought Kheira her first walker for her 6 months! HAPPY 6 MONTHS Love! I know its suppose to be crawling first before walking, but it is positively cute! I love the face she makes when she sees something new, shiny or full of lights. The amazement in her face and the was she looks at me – if she could talk she would’ve said, “Mommy what is this amazing thing??!?”
Mommy Feels Fail #2: Wear baby mittens at all times!
Here we go again… another #MommyFeelsFail I never thought it would happen so soon. Well, sooner than I was hoping. Another MOMMY FAIL! This time there was more blood. Blood everywhere! Blood…
The husband wakes me up early friday morning (like 4am early) in panic. It was like a CSI Crime scene. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Well a dried blood type of crime scene. It had been long since the tragedy happened.
Happy 4 months to my baby girl!
- turns to her sides, both left and right
- grabs her toes
- grabs your hair, your shirt, your necklace, everything and anything she gets her hands on!
- crawls with her head slightly up
- can lift her head up all the way when she’s on her belly
- reaches for her dangling toys
- sucks all fingers
- drools everywhere
- talks back when you talk to her (though she seems to respond more when you talk to her in Tagalog.)
- mimics face and mouth expressions
- Laughs and smiles ALOT
- Able to drink from the bottle when mommy isn’t around to fed her
- comfortable being in her stroller while wandering around the mall
So far that’s pretty much what she’s all about now… The list keeps growing and I’m over here, looking all goofy, cheering every move she makes
Go Kiks! Mommy loves you! ♥

MommyFeels Fail #1: Baby Grooming
Newbie mum alert!! I think i was anticipating my first mommy fail too much and it has arrived.
I’m not talking about spills, or putting baby clothes on the wrong way – I’m talking about those mommy fails that makes your heart drop and ALMOST call 911. I said almost, please don’t tell me I over react. Though I know I did quite a bit. I was panicking so much I cried a little bit. I’m not talking about a tear, I literally cried.
So, I’ve been a mom for (exactly) three months and nine days i think i was too confident this time around when I was grooming Kheira. Grooming her in a sense that, we were doing our normal afternoon routine; took a nice bath, getting her all dressed up and brushing her hair when I noticed a scratch on her face. Its the time of the week where her nails grew long enough to scratch her face and actually cut her with them.
Its not so visible in the picture. I took this one when it was already about to heal. She had 3 scratches; one on the right cheek, on her lil’ button nose and a long one along her left cheek (didn’t get to take a picture though, because it was the first one to heal). So the story goes on, as I badly needed to cut her nails already, I used the nail cutter that came from a gift set of baby grooming kit.

My lil’ baby grooming kit from Safety First. It has a comb, soft brush, safety scissors, cute lil’ nail files and the small nail cutter that has a special handle for mommies to hold onto.
I’ve actually cut her nails using this particular nail cutter a few times already. I guess I just felt a lil confident. So this is me telling you guys NOT TO BE TOO CONFIDENT. EVER. NEVER. EVER. I feel absolutely horrible that, as I said, I cried.
I didn’t just nip a finger. I nipped two. Mommy guilt punched me hard in the face and I cried when she cried, which did not help. I kissed her little fingers to try to make things better – which surprisingly worked. My little champ was such a sport after I kissed her boo-boos she automatically loved me again ♥
Throughout the day every time I saw the lil’ cuts I made on her finger I would tear up. There it was again, Mommy guilt. It wasn’t Kheira who was crying, it was mommy. Let’s all keep in mind that, as a new mom, we will make mistakes. This one I’m not so proud of, because it was her first boo-boo and it was mommy’s fault! *hides behind hands* But at the end of the day everything is a learning process. Especially motherhood. I’m already twenty-four and my mum tells me that she’s still learning everyday. I’m now in her shoes and I couldn’t agree more.
More things to come, more things to learn! I’m scared, excited, ecstatic, anxious, and happy all at the same time! Oh the joy of motherhood! ♥

Happy 3 months to my Kheira bear!
I’ve been officially a mom for about three months now! How crazy is that?! I still pinch myself every once in a while. Though I’m a lil’ sad I wasn’t proactive enough to start off my blog when we celebrated my Kheira bear’s 1 month, but better late than never right?? She’s been an amazing addition in my life and now I can’t imagine my life without her! ♥
In her 3 months of being here on earth.. she can now do the following:
- Can crawl from point A to B (she can crawl as far as 3ft!) on her stomach still though lol
- Loves tummy time (for a max of 15-20 mins then she gets upset. Ha!)
- Watches TV/people/anything that moves
- Loves it when you talk to her and would respond with her coo’s ♥
- Can grip fingers, cloths, soft toys
- Drools everywhere
- Sucks fingers (all – no favorite finger yet), cloths, stuff toys, stuffed rattle, anything that fits her mouth (and is soft)
- A lot of leg kicks! (Which also is the origin of her very popular nickname, “kiks”)
- Can lift up head while sitting down/ can support her head to turn and look at things
- SMILES all day!
I’ve never been more proud! Every smile, every coo and everything ELSE she does that’s new I DIEEEE of cuteness and I just end up annoying my husband just to show him. I’m so amused by everything and anything she does. Hahah! I’m a new mom and I don’t know much of what I’m doing, but she seems happy (LOL). I feel blessed everyday. God is so good to me. ♥ I can’t wait what to see what she can start doing this month!

Sleep according to Kheira
I love how my baby sleeps. Ever since she was born, I believe that she would show us her personality as early as day one with the way that she would sleep. As a new mom, I couldn’t help but take a few snaps at ‘em… and by a few snaps – I meant A LOT! Here are some snippets of the many faces my lil’ Kheir-bear has been giving us whilst asleep…
How adorable? I wish I know what she’s dreaming about. I’m soo curious! So aside from her adorable faces whilst sleeping – I don’t know if you noticed in the pictures, but her wandering hands also play a major role. Here are more pics of her wandering hands 🙂
I think, all this, she inherited her sleeping ways from her dad. Here are some evidence regarding this theory lol
I know what you’re gonna say – I take waaay too many pictures of my family sleeping. Did I just seem like a creeper mom?But who wouldn’t? Aren’t they just the cutest?? This is why I need more memory on my phone! I wonder what else she got from her daddy!? I Love my family! ♥
I’m sure that each and everyone of us just loves to captures even the little moments. Share some of your amazing memories with me and Kheira. We would love to see some snippets of your lil’ doves in sleeping positions you guys think are funny, interesting or even weird! Comment box below 🙂
