Meeting Ninang(Godmother) Chloe

I, for one, am not good at keeping secrets. I’m like a ticking bomb. For the most part to those whom I’m very close with, i.e. my husband. We’ve known each other and have been friends for so long we’ve come to tell each other everything. Even the boring noting of our everyday lives. Especially now that we’re married, I find it hard to keep things from him. So, imagine my surprise when my father-in-law gave me information on the biggest secret from my husband and mother-in-law I had to keep for about 2 months. His only sibling and sister, Chloe, is coming to the Philippines to visit us. It was the secret of the century for me. It was a mission!

I haven’t personally met Chloe. We’ve seen and talked to each other through face time and occasionally messages on Facebook. I was told she’s like vaughn, but a version I can relate to more because she’s a girl. Hahah! So imagine my excitement when I found out she and her boyfriend, Andrew is coming to visit us and just in time for our baby Kheira’s dedication (see “Kheira’s Dedication” post).
I was sneaking the whole time with my father-in-law trying to arrange everything for them while they were staying here. It was such  hard task because everyday I see my husband and I look into his eyes – I wanted to share this information so bad.
11.21.15 2am was THE DAY. The day they arrived. I was so nervous the whole day I started these awkward laugh minutes they were on their way to our place.
It was well-worth it seeing my husband and my mother-in-laws face when I opened the door and Chloe and Andrew were standing there. It was priceless!

My favorite expression of all was when Chloe met Kheira for the first time

Though her stay only lasted for 10 days we made sure she made the most of it! Thank you for being part of her dedication Chloe! As well as being there for many of her firsts. It was short but nonetheless very sweet visit. We will make more memories soon! We love you guys and we miss you already!!

Be a blessing to others! xx
